Navigating a Diagnosis

Healing Journey Home | Navigating a Diagnosis | What Helped Me When Colon Cancer Returned | My Timeline | The Cure | Main Website Home

August 2013 at our oldest daughter’s wedding, two weeks after hearing from Memorial Sloan Kettering in NYC, “Your body is normal; we do not see any cancer at this time.”

Some people fight cancer and expend energy to do battle. Some people feel cancer is your body telling you the way you are living is killing you. My experience was and has been to learn to embrace life giving ways of living instead of following what most of society does that does NOT promote health and well living.

The only place I fight is to cling to God for wisdom, healing, and allowing God to work in me to mold me to the image of his Son, Jesus. That is the only cure that matters.

My goal is to encourage someone else going through the squall of bowel cancer diagnosis and treatment. There is always, ALWAYS, hope. If not for this life, then for eternity.

My journey with colon cancer began in Fall 2010 and is outlined on the My Timeline page.

I remain healthy and clear of cancer as of July 2024 by the grace of God.

Dare to do things differently.

Pause and pray before you make any decision.

Evaluate all options with an open heart and a God-centered mind.

Educate yourself on the options that food and proper powerful use of nutrition may offer.

Educate yourself about when medicine is appropriate (typically, in crisis).

Educate yourself on the impact of the choices you will make and then embrace your choices and trust God for healing.
