I am a survivor of stage four colon cancer. My battle with cancer started in October 2010, involving multiple surgeries, colostomy, chemotherapy, radiation, ileostomy, takedown procedure, and achieving a cancer-free status in the fall of 2011. Unfortunately, cancer reappeared on October 1, 2012.
Since 2013, I have been in remission with No Evidence of Disease (NED). I chose a different path the second time. Courage, hope, and a deep dive into trusting God daily helped me embrace educated choices best for my journey.
